Define Art is a situated documentary in the form of an app that I made during my second year at university.
The documentary features three areas and subjects around the Bournemouth area, and utilizes several mediums to give a holistic perspective on what art is. The areas we featured in the documentary were grafitti, music, and fine art.
Here is a look into the sections that I was involved with:
ARTS UNIVERSITY BOURNEMOUTH - CHARLOTTE
Charlotte is studying Fine Art at Arts University Bournemouth. We used her art and portrait to represent her feelings and thoughts towards what art is.
A short documentary and photography was used to tell Charlotte's story.
CHAPLIN'S BAR
Chaplin's Bar is an alternative independent bar in Boscombe that regularly hosts gigs.
I filmed a vertical promo for the documentary section, as well as a live recording of music from the venue and some photography in an attempt to effectively portray this medium of art.
